Love Your Stomach

Welcome to the winter that is finally arrived, with mild temperatures so far, here in The Netherlands. If we compared the Moon Cycle to the Seasons of the year, this would be the Menses time, a time of cleaning and introspection. If you are experiencing some desire of MeTime, on your own, it is probably because you feel the need for a nice closure to let go the past year and to really look what your real desires/goals/missions are for the next year that is about to come.
I believe that it is very important though, before closing down, to really celebrate all your learnings and achievements, I am sure you had really nice moments and probably you also had really terrible moments, both of the categories, however, shaped you the way you are now, so I hope you can embrace it all and celebrate this wonderful You.
Celebrate and be grateful with yourself, as women we tend to be really hard on ourself and to really see what we did ‘wrong’ what we could have done ‘better’ but… why can’t we also see what greatness we achieved as mothers, wives, women, workers, artists… friends… lovers…

Take a moment for yourself and really feel how you have grown up this year…
  • If you think about this past year, what is the most important thing that pops up in your mind?
  • How many wonderful things did you manifest in this year?
  • How many things did you learn about yourself?
  • What would you like to lovingly let go and what would you bring with you?
  • How did you take care of yourself?
  • Did you ask for help when you needed it?
  • How many sisters are around you?
  • What would you like to have/achieve in the next year?
Please be kind with yourself and realise how many good things every day you accomplish and how many people you make smile. You are a very important being and you can make a difference every day with every choice you make. The more we are loving and in deep contact with ourselves the less we can produce harm to the people and the planet. Your love for yourself is the most important achievement if we really want to make a difference.

The more Self Care I am doing, the more I can give, to my family, friends and clients. The more I am in contact with myself, the less I can make choices that somehow can harm my sisters/brothers and ultimately the planet.

I wish you a wonderful Holiday Season, no matter what you are celebrating, I hope you get all the love you deserve and that you can spread this love all around you.

Many people are convinced that their stomach is pretty acidic because they experience heartburn and feel the need of taking anti-acid products for feeling less acidity. However I have lately discovered that sometimes the case is the opposite, which is a low stomach acid, which doctors call hypochlorhydria.
Stomach acid is produced naturally within our bodies, and everyone produces different amounts. As we get older, our bodies produce even less. In addition to age, a poor diet high in sodium and processed foods also causes a decrease in stomach acid.

Our stomach makes acids in order to digest food, in fact in this part of the digestive system, the food is broken into smaller components allowing the intestine a better absorption. Not only, the acid can also kill harmful bacteria that can affect individual's health.

Some of the Symptoms that is related to low stomach acid are heartburn, indigestion, bloating, food allergies, vitamins and mineral deficiencies, autoimmune disorders and fatigue. If you are experiencing heartburns and you take anti-acid pills, you might make the symptoms worse.

What can cause this digestive challenge can be the deficiency of minerals and vitamins, as they are required to produce the acid. Stress and alcohol consumptions can also be counterproductive. Cold drinks and food might also produce this effect.

There are many natural ways to prevent and take care of your stomach health:
~ The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® is a way of preventing and taking care of our natural Digestive System wellness.
~ Daily Self Care is a way to keep your digestive and reproductive system in balance. If you consult an Arvigo® Therapist you will learn the treatment after your first session; or there are many workshops around the globe.
~ An healthy diet that avoids refined carbohydrates, better a whole wheat ones. In general processed food can be really challenging for our system. Alcohol and caffeine also should be considered on a 20% 80% balance (80% really healthy good diet/20% pleasure and fun food - however healthy food can be really joyous).
~ Sitting on the couch during meals can make things quite difficult too.
~ There are some foods that can implement the production of
hydrochloric acid like vinegar, black olives, celery, leafy vegetables, lemon;
~ Last but not least, try to take your stress level under control, maybe with some yoga, meditation, walking in nature, when your digestive system is working correctly the amount of energy and wellness we are benefit from is priceless.

Love yourself as a Almost Mother!
And again is Christmas, seems yesterday I took the decorations down. For many people this is a quite difficult period, for many years, after my misscarriage I could be quite ok the all year but couldn't stand a shop decorated for the seasonal festivities and also I couldn't stand the family's meeting where all the attentions were for kids, new moms and so on. So,  I hope you can find peace in this period and that you can enjoy yourself and life anyways. I hope you can find a nice sister that can hold you and I really wish that the experience made you even more beautiful and wonderful.

With much love and blessings
May this be a New Birth for a New World in which we can live in peace and harmony amongst each other, no matter the belief system we like to make our own.
