For this new year many new events are in preparation for you! Some have already a date, some others need a bit more time ;)
I hope you took time to relax and set up some goals for your New Year that will be really Shining if we allow it to be, clearing up our Mind~Body~Soul system can be a good start to welcome the new and let go of the old. This is why I decided to have a 3 day with a specific Ayurvedic dish, maybe you would like to do it too. It was a client that introduced it to me (sharing is so important amongst us) and now I want to pass it on to you, since I tried it and it was not difficult at all... the mind sometimes wishes chocolate and coffee... but you can easily manage it :)

Kitchari Recipe
This nice dish is suitable for every constitution according to the Ayurvedic knowledge. You can use it as a meal or in a mono-diet, like I did. Practically for 3 days I have been eating exclusively this soup, I kept on doing my Self Care Routine, I did 2 Castor Oil packs and the 3rd day I also had a V Steam. So now, are you ready for a deep cleansing and a huge step towards a super wonderful 2016???

Ingredients:
250 gr. red lentils, soaked for a couple of hours (or as reccomanded)
200 gr.  brown rice or quinoa
1,250 lt. water (it absorbs a lot of water)
1 carrot, thinly sliced or grated
1-2 celery sticks, thinly sliced
2-3 leaves of kale or collard greens
2 spoons coconut oil
15 gr (a spoon) of fennel seeds
15 gr of cumin
15 gr of coriander
15 gr of tumeric
3-5 peppercorns grounded
2,5 cm fresh ginger, peeled and grated
1/2 lemon juice
5 springs of fresh cilantro chopped
pinch of salt at taste.

In a pan add the coconut oil with all the spices (fennel, cumin, coriander, tumeric and pepper), heat until the spices are a bit toasted. Add the water and let it boil. Add the lentils and the rice (or quinoa). Cover the pan but not completely. Add the vegetables. Let it cook until all the ingredients become soft and well cooked. Removed from the stove and add the cilantro, the lemon, the ginger, the numeric and salt. I used a pressure cooker since I believe it is healthier.
